What is the purpose of Femina Sola Gratia?
Welcome, dear sister; thanks for dropping by. Femina Sola Gratia exists to bring glory to God and as a means of discipling my sisters in practical areas of biblical womanhood. My desire is to stand against feminism, teach the truth of patriarchy, further the teachings of nearly 2,000 years of church support for headcoverings for women in worship (disappearing only with the advent of feminism), and help my sisters embrace the biblical role of womanhood.
So, to those ends, I address feminism, headcoverings, homemaking, Titus 2 and Proverbs 31 womanhood (which simply is the summation of what it means to be a godly woman), frugality, cooking, sound and false teachers (because, yes, discernment is biblical) and even domestic abuse (from a decidedly non-feminist perspective) as well as a few other topics from time to time. While I am aware that men occasionally read an article, this is a blog written exclusively for women.
If you want to know more about me, you can read my my Bio. If you want to know what my doctrinal beliefs are (and thus the foundation for what and why I write), go to my Statement of Faith. Or, if you want to learn more about me but don’t really have the time to invest, in a nutshell…
I’m a Reformed Baptist (but a member of a PCA), paleoconservative, who is theologically appreciative of “the old dead guys” far more than almost any modern writer; I’m an anti-feminist, patriarchal, anti-woman’s suffrage, homeschooling mother of many, and the separated wife of an abusive and unfaithful man (who refuses to accept feminist answers for domestic abuse). God has long proven Himself my Provider and Protector, not just in a theological sense but in day-to-day life; I trust Him more than I could ever trust any person.
I welcome your suggestions as to article ideas and, as long as they are polite, even if you disagree, I deeply appreciate your comments.
I cannot review books. I’m truly sorry. I simply haven’t the time with everything else already on my plate. I couldn’t do it justice and that wouldn’t be fair to you or your readers.
Do I accept speaking engagements?
I have been asked many times if I would be a guest speaker at a conference or event. I’ve never actually accepted. The ones I was asked to simply didn’t work for one reason or another (some were conferences for domestic abuse and as those are almost always liberal, I wasn’t interested; when I was still with my husband, I simply couldn’t leave my children to go speak somewhere, no matter the reason). At this point in time, we’re safe, my children are older, so let’s just say I’m open to discussing it.
